Dave + Jenifer, An Engagement Session in the Desert

Over the weekend, we traveled to Phoenix to photograph an engagement session for Dave and Jenifer, a wonderfully fun, sweet couple, who have doing the long distance thing for the majority of their relationship.  Dave is a medical student in residency at ASU, working roughly 80 hours a week, so we (and Jenifer!) were lucky to have him for a few of his precious free hours.  We spent a little time in Old Town Scottsdale, and then headed out to the gorgeous wide open spaces of Papago Park.  It was more of an outdoorsy adventure than an engagement session, and I think it’s safe to say that we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

After the session, we enjoyed dinner together at a Bucca di Beppo (we were even treated to what I’m told is the best seat in the house- a booth right in the middle of the restaurant’s kitchen- it was quite an experience!).  To top it all off, we even had a celebrity sighting, thanks to Dave’s sharp eyes and ears.  Sure enough, we ate at the same restaurant as Alice Cooper- legendary rock musician, Phoenix resident, and golfer extraordinaire!

Todd and I were quite sad to have to leave the perfect weather of an Arizona “winter” for the blizzard back home.  Oh, Arizona, how I miss you!  Thanks so much to Dave and Jenifer for a fabulous evening!  We’re very excited for their wedding at the Allerton Mansion and Gardens in May.
